Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Sinoma (Suzhou) Iraq SCP O&M Project Department
June 5, 2020 is the 10th anniversary of Sinoma (Suzhou) Iraq SCP O&M Project Department. This project is the first complete operation and maintenance project obtained by Sinoma-Suzhou after completing the construction of SCP Line-1 EPC project, and it’s a typical project that means the company's industrial chain extends to operation and maintenance business. The contract mainly covers the operation and maintenance management, equipment maintenance and spare parts supply for the three lines of SCP 5300 t /d clinker and cement production line.
The project department actively implements the 'One Belt And One Road' initiative and provides its good cement production technology experience to the local plants, which made China cement production standard become a cement industry model in Iraq local market. Sulaimaniyah University designated the project as a cement production practice base, and the project provide local employment and technicians training for more than 100 people. In the past ten years, the project department has produced 39.24 million tons of cement, with an output value of 280 million US dollars, making a positive contribution to the post-war reconstruction of Iraq.
Move forward without fear or doubt. In the past ten years, the project department has to keep working hard and overcome many difficulties before it realize its achievement. During the service time of the project, the region has suffered nearly constant warfare and terrorist attacks, such as the ISIS terrorist attacks crisis in June of 2014; the military strike of the central government to the region because of Kurdish independence referendum in September of 2017; and the COVID - 19 outbreak in 2020.
Whole-hearted service and pursuit of excellence. The management department actively explores scientific and effective management methods in daily work, fully inspire the activity and enthusiasm of all staff.
Safety first, regular training. The department pay high attention to the safety work and continue to improve and optimize the safety management systems.
6S management, effective operation. The project department actively carries out 6S (6S means SEIRI, SEITON, SEISO, SEIKETSU, SHITSUKE, and SECURITY) management mode, which has positive effect to the safety production work.
Strengthen patrol inspection and eliminate hidden dangers.
Pool the wisdom and efforts of everyone to overcome difficulties.
Train qualified people to meet the needs of work, to develop and promote young management persons suited to future needs.
Pay attention to maintaining team stability and group cohesiveness.
Beautify the environment and improve the working and living condition. The department is always aim for building a clean and neat plant and let the staff live in an environment of natural beauty.
Overcome difficulties, guarantee stable production and over fulfil the quota. At present, the three 5300 t/d clinker production lines managed by the project department are in normal production. From January to May 2020, a total of 1.92 million tons of clinker production is completed, with 220,000 tons clinker more than the planned 1.7 million tons, which means a completion rate of 113.20%.

All our today's achievements owes a great deal to the caring and guidance of leaders at all levels, all support of all government and authorities and the understanding and help of the Owners, as well as the hard work of all staff in the project department.
Don't forget to beginner's mind, self-motivated. After ten years hard work, our original aspiration is unchanged. We blazed our way forward through all the difficulties and performed our duties and mission. All achievements represents the past, and our struggle and efforts will never end.
